To celebrate European Day of Languages we looked at Russian, and learnt that not only do they use a different language, but a different alphabet too! We talked about some famous Russians such as Leo Tolstoy, Stalin and Tchaichovsky, and looked at famous buildings such as the Kremlin and Winter Palace. We decided to recreate our own version of the colourful St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow using repeating patterns for the brickwork on the towers and bright colours for the domes.
