Christmas Unwrapped

P6 enjoyed participating in Christmas Unwrapped, it was beamed virtually into the classroom for the children to enjoy. We learnt all about the Christmas Story, advent and the importance of waiting. We completed several activities including experiments with presents, the would you rather game, who wants to be a millionaire and a nativity ordering task.

Afterwards we each made a class wreath with our Christmas wishes and made our own handmade Christmas tiles.

A big thank you to Houston Parish Kirk, the Nutty Professor and Mrs Morrison for all the organisation and allowing us to experience everything virtually this year.

Making Reindeer Food

Miss Stefanatos’ class had a bash at making some food for Rudolph on Wednesday.

We were very careful to ensure we used a recipe that was environmentally friendly and looked after all animals. NO glitter here!

We mixed oats, dried fruit and added a little bit of chilli powder to help keep the rodents away!

We even made environmentally friendly carriers!

Snowmen Baking

All of the classes have independently followed the recipe to make festive Snowmen truffles. The children had great fun combining various mathematical skills along with practical baking skills. The pupils also worked on their team work and communication skills. We hope that you enjoyed the yummy snowmen treats!
